Our Story

We don’t just sell journals.

WE CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO CULTIVATE:

Our guided journals are meant to take participants on a journey into a deeper understanding of self.
Each journal has thirty insightful prompts designed to highlight a particular topic for focused inner work and growth. With our vast array of journal topics, there is a journal for every person in every season of life.
It’s the perfect act of self-love and/or a meaningful gift for those you love.

We’re a Bit Different From Other Journal Collections

TDJ is unique for a few reasons (which we are deeply proud of).

  • With over twenty journals ready for launch (and dozens more in the works), we offer a journal that everyone could benefit from.

  • Although we offer fun and light-hearted options, most of our journals “go there,” meaning the prompts are profound, insightful, challenging, and occasionally a bit gut-wrenching. Journalers don’t leave every writing session feeling tidy and happy and light; the prompts are meant to stir something within, to force you to be honest with yourself, and to strike a few matches that light the fire needed for growth, healing, and transformation.

If you’re looking for a journal to store memories or details of a special event like birthdays or a child’s first five years, our collection won’t offer that. Ours are designed for processing, illuminating, and clarifying from an expressive writing practice.

  • Most pages within the journal contain two things: a prompt + four blank pages of free space. That’s it. This simplistic design is intentional to prevent any biased thoughts or ideas that could come from a quote or photo. We want your thoughts, responses, and expressions to be completely your own.

  • In order to deliver the transformative guidance available within the journals, it is extremely important to us that we do so with care, compassion, and a gentle hold of the journaler’s heart. That is why we collaborate with experts on the topics that hold a bit more weight and potential hurt. We seek the insight and feedback of mental health professionals, coaches, and experts to be sure we are offering a positive resource when used alone, although we highly recommend that our customers work through the journals in conjunction with a mental health professional if the topic is one that feels sensitive.

We want to collaborate with you!

If you have an idea for a journal that you know would be beneficial to your life of the lives of those you love, please reach out.
We want to hear from our customers and we want to hear from experts who are interested in partnering with us to design a journal.

A Note From Our Founder, Callie

Thirty Days Journals was a cute and dreamy idea that came to me somewhere between the hours of two and four in the morning while rocking and nursing my four-month-old baby boy. Like many young parents, I was feeling completely disconnected from myself and had no real routine or discipline to change that. Journaling had served a wildly important purpose in my life for the past decade, but the demands of two young children, working full-time, marriage, and keeping a household remotely clean seemed to suck every ounce of energy I had - so my journal stayed empty for a long time.

It wasn’t until I finally picked up the pen again that I remembered the truly life-giving powers that journaling has.

If I’m being honest, I avoided guided journals for many years prior to the birth of TDJ. The stubborn part of me yelled, “Don’t tell me what to do,” whenever I came across prompts. But when we’re lost, we need a guide. And prompts are what led me back to myself. Rather than stare at a blank page with tired eyes and an even more tired mind, prompts gave me the freedom to focus, the freedom to dream, and the freedom to reconnect.

That is what I hope for every single person who picks up a TDJ journal: a moment to reconnect to self, a chance to tell yourself the Truth, space for focused inner work, freedom to find purpose. The tagline of Thirty Days Journals is, “when I write, I know,” because when a pen meets paper and a heart is open, all Knowing is made possible.

These are really good questions... very raw, this is hard... getting me thinking for sure. It’s exactly what I need right now.
